Love is better when it begins with your best friend. Drew and Liz’s love story may not be one for a Disney movie, but it is a story of true love, laughter, and the ever-changing thing called life. Liz and Drew first crossed paths at Peyton Stakes, an apartment complex in Nashville. Day after day, they passed each other in the halls, at the pool, and occasionally at RC3 parties. Over time, they began saying hello and spending time together. It was during these moments that they got to know each other on the foundation of true friendship.

That friendship soon turned into movie nights, date nights, and late nights listening to Morgan Wallen. As time went on, it became clear that their lives were better when they were together. From that moment on, they have been inseparable—each other’s rock—and have continued to be best friends through both the good times and the bad.

As their love grew, so did their family. What began as a family of four—Drew, Liz, Nash, and Carly—soon became a family of five with the addition of Chestnut, their two-year-old mini dachshund. On July 5, 2025, surrounded by family, they decided to make it a forever family and got engaged on the beach at beautiful Fripp Island, South Carolina.

With their future ahead of them, they made another big decision and purchased their first home together in Nashville. Excited to begin their life as the Owens family, they plan to marry on April 18, 2026, in front of family and friends, at the Hagadone Event Center at Lake Coeur d’Alene Resort.
